We checked in and they were not going to give us a pull through as requested, but after talking to them they found one that was available. The spot was nice until the trees started dripping sap all over the RV, toad, and everything else around there. There is no cable TV (we were notified prior to reserving our site) and the WiFi was spotty at best.We gave up on trying to connect to the Internet from our site. They also pack in travel trailers and pop ups 2 to a site. The pictures show a nice water filled irrigation ditch but was empty while we were there.
You really need to have a boat for Meas reservori as it was hard to find a good place from the bank to fish. Other fishing sites required a drive of at least 45 minutes to an hour and half to get there. We will not be coming back here.
This resort is right out of town and provides a clean and pleasant place to stay for the night. The grounds are neatly groomed and there is even a cute little aquaduct-type stream for the kids to "muck about" near. The laundry facility is nice and the shower facilities are clean and tidy. In fact, on our 6 day, "Ride the Rockies" excursion where we camped in a different location every night, Mesa RV Resort by far had the best and hottest showers of them all! The staff was pleasant and courteous as well. You even receive an escort to your camp site and the staff is willing to help you get your camper parked properly. I had heard at check-in that the resort is operated by new ownership and they are definitely doing their darndest to make sure you have a good experience. A good time was had by our party of 16 cyclist and support crew!
The previous review does not do this place justice. Sounds to me like they should be in a hotel. The reason for staying in an RV/MH is to enjoy the outdoors and take in nature while on vacation. These people were more worried about cable TV and WIFI. No mention of the beautifle scenic veiws and the sunsets. Next time stay home or go to a hotel.
Mesa RV resort is a wonderful CG situated in what should be refered to as Gods country. The mornings are cool the days worderful and sunny and the night are a stargazers dream. The campground is one of the nicest I have every seen. Everything is very well keep and the owners are wonderful people. The owners will do everything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
I would recommend this campground to anyone and everyone that wants to experience a wonderful area of Colorado at a wonderful campground
