Nice, quiet place to stay in Panama.

We really like this place and now plan to return to La Estancia every time we visit Panama City. No TV in the room, but we didn't even think about it at the time because went to the lounge area where we met some incredibly nice people from Sweden. We'd have missed that friendship sitting in our room, watching TV instead. People are usually more interesting than TV anyway.
The room is clean, and the attached bath had 50's tile in excellent shape. Very nice! They give two pillows on the bed for each person, one soft and one firm. That and the extra thermo blanket is one of the nice ways they show they care about their guests. Breakfast is included and the menu selection includes pancakes, eggs, omelets, sausage, bacon, and there's a help-yourself area where you can get as much of the juice, coffee, cereal, and fruit as you want. There are soda and snacks available for purchase at all times.
The people working at La Estancia were courteous and helpful. When we unexpectedly found ourselves stranded in Panama City with no hotel reservation for a second night, they offered to help us find a place to stay. Not an easy task at the last minute in Panama.
La Estancia is off the beaten path (which is why it's so quiet at night) and some taxi drivers might not know where it is. When we where in the airport and taxi drivers approached us for a taxi, I told them where we were going and the word got out. Roy, knew exactly where this place was. We got their inexpensively and made a good friend in Roy, the taxi driver.
