So now we are back home in Melbourne., having seen heaps. My advice: * Do sky tower (auckland) at night, and ask about dinner in the rotating resturant. It is not a cheap menu, but what you pay for dinner entitles you to amazing views, even better food, and you were going to spend money on dinner and the tower anyway - combine the two and treat yourself. * Bring about $30 extra per attraction, so that you can buy the photos and videos. It is too hard to take them yourself often. *Hire your ski gear - it is dirt cheap, and it means you don't need heaps of clothing *Don't bring heaps of clothing...
