New Zealand Hotels

This trip journal documents our 3 week honeymoon, where we RV’ed through New Zealand and stayed at RV parks (called “holiday parks” by the Kiwis a.k.a. New Zealanders). Then we went to Australia for five days. We used Kea Campers for renting our RV, a 2-berth campervan with shower/toilet included. We hung out in Christchurch (Chch) because Qantas didn't get our luggage onto our connecting flight. They comped us NZ$200 for our two pieces of luggage and arranged to have our luggage shipped to our final destination of Christchurch. This would have been fine, had our luggage not shown up wet. So... where to begin? Well, it should probably start back when I used to work for O'Neill (the surf co) and everything went tits up because the company who owned it gave up their rights to distribute the brand in UK. I still have a job but instead of working for the worlds top surf brand traveling ALL OVER the UK, and visiting places across Europe every now and then, It means I work for a company who sell tents...In Northampton! Looking for a photo log instead? Dec 27th: After finally enduring our last flight leg of the day, we catch the shuttle into town and check in at Backpacker's Downtown Lodge (what a dump). That's what we get for booking a hostel online. Ah well...the Internet and breakfast are free and the whole point of a vacation is to avoid spending time in the room anyway, right?
