June 22, 2007 - 7:48 AM - Beautiful sunny day in Maryland for the start of our journey! Off we go into the wild blue yonder. 12:30 PM - Miles: 260 - We arrive in Pittsburgh! The movers showed up at about 8:30am and finished packing our belongings. Maddie seemed to be fasinated by all the taping, wrapping and moving. She joined in as much as she could. Then at around 2pm everything was loaded and we said good bye to Crystal Towers. After a quick stop for lunch, we were on the road. At the time of departure, it was 75 degrees in DC, a record high. Today we passed through Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Maddie had a hard time sleeping after all the excitement so we were all happy to see our hotel just outside of Pittsburgh.

By the time we got to our cabin, we were not impressed. The cabin is really a dressed up (faux log siding) mobile home and the area smelled strongly of sewer. Other than some housekeeping issues (dirty floors and dusty), the acitvity schedule ...
