We arrived into Salt Lake City around 1pm and decided to head over to our hotel and check in. We arrived on a particularly rainy day and there happened to be a large rain storm that was hovering directly over Salt Lake City, so it was hard to enjoy a view of the city nestled in amongst the Wasatch Mountain range. In any case, at times it would clear up and we decided to venture out around town. We headed downtown to check things out and ended up at the Clark Planetarium. We arrived at Mall of America last night. G loved the roller coasters and rides, we didn't do any shopping because we are planning a 2 nite stay on the way home. Today we drove all day, from very stormy Mpls to the edge of the Badlands in Kadoka, SD. We're staying at the Budget Host Sundowner, a bi...

The Sierra Nevada Mountain Range rises straight up alongside the west side of the road with many of the highest peaks in the range visible along the way. As we made our way, we stopped at the Lone Pine Visitor Center for a bathroom break and to stretch our legs. There we browsed the bookstore and took in spectacular views of Lone Pine Mountain and the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. After heading back on the road, just a few minutes nor...
