South Dakota Hotels

So now we're road-trip buffs....trying to drive across the USA from sea to shining sea & from the Canadian to the Mexican Borders...on as many roads as possible - highways, byways, freeways, skyways, parkways & anything in between ! Day 1 - Drive Day : We flag off this trip at 11 am - buckle up & zip across the great plains : Okie's dust bowl, the wheat fields of Kansas, Iowa & South Dakota and reach Sioux Falls next morning. We live in Atlanta so we flew into Denver and rented a car for a couple of reasons: first there are no big airports around the Black Hills, including Rapid City, so you have to go to a large city airport anyway and then change planes to continue on to a nearby city and that's just not for us. But the bigger reason is that we go on these trips to see the USA, the lay of the land, the country and countryside and the landscape. The movers showed up at about 8:30am and finished packing our belongings. Maddie seemed to be fasinated by all the taping, wrapping and moving. She joined in as much as she could.
