5/10/08: It was a long trip here. Everything went ok though, made a couple of wrong turns, traffic was bad around Columbia, SC. We met up with my parents around 7:00 AM in Whitesburg, KY. We ate a little breakfast and left out. Stopped a couple of times to stretch our legs and use the restroom, had lunch at a Subway somewhere about half way along the trip. After that we only stopped one more time to get gas. Arrived at Mar Vista Grande at approximately 5:00 PM. Ordered some Domino's for supper, everyone was too tired to go out anywhere. We are piling stuff on the bed in the guest room for the last couple of days, and of course we are excited about finally gtting close to leaving. Ethel, (our GPS) is programmed, as well as the route all planned in streets and trips, and of course the computer will be on my lap part of the way to make sure we stay on track. On Day 1 we are just deadheading as far into North Carolina as we can get, because we have reservations in Staten Island for Saturday nite, and a planned dinner with Judy's Brother.
