Road trips seem to come naturally to my friends and I. Niagara Falls, Florida, Boston, Chicago...these were all test runs for the biggest trip of our friendship. August 15-17, 2008 This was my first trip to a new state in 9 years that ended up being 2 new states by the end. Holly and I decided to make this year's summer trip our farthest yet. We again had our 3 kids and Leslie. We drove Holly's wonderful van again as well. Hayley and I finally made it to Holly's in Rocky Mount late Thursday night. I decided to take 64 Business because of my car's very worn tires and brakes. We were all for the most part ready for bed when we got there so we did. So, my Michigan friend is out, but I think myself and the ash are forging on to see her hometown. Oh, and I found out that my boy is going to be back home, as well, celebrating his 21rst birthday. I'm so there. Ash and I just bought our tickets to Philly. I'm super excited now. I have already checked out of my job and am now waiting impatiently to get to the airport. It looks like we will have bad weather flying up to Philly and possibly flying back if Hurricane Bill doesn't stay out in the Atlantic. We will get the outer bands for sure, which Ash and I might just get to Atlantic City early ...
