Drop off Sammy with the in-laws. He's going to eat well. We should weigh him first to see the difference Landed in Chicago. No problem. Made it to the rental agency -- guess what? No vans in the lot. Waited around the lobby for about half an hour / 45 minutes while the staff scrambled to locate a van. Finally was given one -- Dodge Grand Caravan with Florida plates. We're in Chicago. Guess we'll stand out in a crowd. Kids fell asleep on the drive down the freeway. Breakfast -- Lou Mitchell's. This has got to be the best place to go for breakfast in the city. I promised we would not be getting up that early for the rest of the vacation and we didn't. The Hall of Fame itself is right off the highway. The people there were really friendly and you can take as many pictures as you want and even bring in a video camera. They gave us free gifts too. We got the HALL PASS, which is a discounted ticket price that includes the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. So it was a 8 dollar discount overall for both of us. The Hall of Fame ...

The movers showed up at about 8:30am and finished packing our belongings. Maddie seemed to be fasinated by all the taping, wrapping and moving. She joined in as much as she could. Then at around 2pm everything was loaded and we said good bye to Crystal Towers. After a quick stop for lunch, we were on the road. At the time of departure, it was 75 degrees in DC, a record high. Today we passed through Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Maddie had a hard time sleeping after all the excitement so we were all happy to see our hotel just outside of Pittsburgh.
