New York Hotels

This is just the basics.I will update and insert photo's soon . First of all , you need a lot of energy to do it this way.Arrive to LA early morning of Tuesday and collect minivan.Set GPS for Kawada hotel in LA. Eat, rest and wash. Drive around LA and end up in Hollywood.Nice place. Well.....what was originally forecast to be 29.5 hours ended up becoming 31.5 hours with a few delays thrown in.....and yes those extra 2 hours felt like 20 hours!!! Qantas really was the way to fly - no complaints from us, and being able use the Qantas lounges was great. We had a smooth transition through customs and imigration at LA and then an even easier exit at JFK in NY. The cabbie was easy to talk to and didn't try any of the so called shenanigans that some people write about. So we are finally in New York and at our Hotel. I am happy as I am sure my two other New York sisters are happy that we have finally arrived. With a two and a half hour delay in LAX, 2 missed connecting flights in Chicago with another hour delay, and then to top it off our room was not ready when we arrived at the hotel around 9:30........however they gave a $150 credit to the room along with free drinks at the bar………but with that all said and done we can now start out exciting Journey.
