4:30 am Jen and I wake up too early and head to BWI airport for a flight to Manchester, New Hampshire, where we got about a $100 roundtrip flight on Southwest. 7:30 am Plane takes off to Manchester. Day 1 – Saturday – June 20th …..and we’re off to Portland Maine today June 20, 2009. A rocky start… This was the first time we have ever been paged at the airport with “last call for boarding for K&RS!” Yes, that last email from Airtran seemed to get un-noticed – the one where they moved the flight up an hour. We received a couple emails which indicated the flight changed within minutes of the scheduled time but then I guess R stopped looking at them. Wow! Okay, here I am in Maine. I flew out Monday night out of Monterey. Three plane flights later I was in Portland, Maine getting picked up by my mother and aunt. The first flight was only 35 minutes are so on a prop plane. It was so loud and the whole thing vibrated but since it was so short it was okay. The second flight was in a HUGE plane...the kind with two rows of two seats on each side and then three seats in the middle. I got three seats all to myself so that was pretty cool.
