Mammoth Cave Spring 2009
We started off the day by getting up and having a somewhat boring continental breakfast at the hotel. I don't usually expect much at one of those, but that was one weak breakfast. So we began out adventures for the day and headed towards Mammoth Cave. My dad called while we were on the way out, said they had just made it into town. So we pulled in at Big Mike's Rock and Gift Shop to give them time to catch up to us. I don't know why, but I love that place. It just fits in so well with Cave City's nickname of "Tacky Town USA". After leaving home, we went to tour the Jack Daniel's "Tennessee Sipping Whiskey" Distillery (http://www.jackdaniels.com). Our guide was knowledgeable, the weather was great, and the beverages they give you at the end of the tour were refreshing. Our next stop was Cincinnati , Ohio . We stayed in Cinci with friends, John and LeAnn. Their hospitality was much appreciated.
