There was no traffic and we were there by 5:45 p.m. The line inside the airport to check bags looked kind of long and there were not many people at the porter desk, so we checked our bags with a porter outside (who is a Southwest-authorized independent worker, whom you are supposed to tip, unlike the full time Southwest agents behind the counters inside the building). Southwest flight from BWI to MCO. Neither of us had to go through the body scan x-ray machine. I got through with no trouble, but my husband had his bag inspected. We were there in plenty of time, so it wasn't a problem. Departed on time at 1:15 p.m. and arrived five minutes early at 3:35 p.m. Skies were totally clear. We could see the ground for the entire trip. I reserved an Alamo rental car through Costco.com.
