We arrived at Mall of America last night. G loved the roller coasters and rides, we didn't do any shopping because we are planning a 2 nite stay on the way home. If you have TONS of money and don't know where to spend it, this is the place. The Rain Forest Cafe was different, we had never eaten at one, but VERY expensive and noisy. All in all the boy had a great time, the Radison was very nice and we left early Wednesday to drive to the edge of the Badlands. Arrived around midday (still Saturday) and caught a taxi to our hotel - The Chelsea Motor Inn in the Marina District. We actually had a view of the Golden Gate Bridge from our room. Beautiful day - walked down to Fishermans Wharf area and everyone was taking advantage of the warm weather. Purchased the CityPass which gave us unlimited rides on public transport as well as a 1 hour cruise under the bridge and around Alcatraz Island and we managed to catch that.
