We left the house at around 5:10am. Its probably the first trip ive ever had where I did not leave an hour late than scheduled. I guess its only because im with my husband and my inlaws... their always on time! :) It indeed was a good start. We stopped by 7/11 to get some ice for our cooler. I thought its gonna be longggggggg drive on our way to our first destination which is in kfc for lunch. It was a really long drive. We got a late start Thursday and drove through storms so we didn't get as far as we planned. I couldn't drive any farther so we pulled off in Stuart, Iowa. All the hotels were full. I couldn't drive any more so we spent the night in the car in the McDonald's parking lot. I woke up at 6 and we headed out. The drive through Nebraska was so boring we thought it would never end, but it was a beautiful drive up the mountain through Roosevelt National Forest to Estes Park, Colorado, where our campground is.
