Portugal Hotels

So I officially started the planning process - a.k.a. moved on from the vague dream and started laying concreate details. Didn't make a lot of progress - (only had an hour lunch break, lol) - but found some promising sites to get me started and created a list of ALL the countries I would like to include if time and $$ were not an issue. I'm glad we checked the weather in Portugal online before leaving or we wouldn't have brought the jackets. Apparently it plunges to 15 degrees C at night, and day time max is 28 degrees. We've hired a Renault for the drive up and down Portugal, and to avoid the hassle of reading maps this time we decided to splash out and get a Garmin Nuvo GPS with the maps for Portugal loaded. After attaching it to the windscreen, you simply program in your destination and follow the spoken driving instructions. I boarded the plane in Calgary at about 4pm and as soon as I got on the plane I was greeted by Lori and mom. Lori and I managed to get the lady seated next to me to move so that we could sit together. We made friends with all our neighbours and even the flight attendants so we got pretty damn good service. We didn't sleep much on the plane so when we arrived in Glasgow at 8am local time we were already pretty tired. We took a cab to my parents' hotel and then went to George Square.
