Amsterdam is a major tourist destination in the Netherlands state of Europe. This city is also capitol of Netherlands with inspiring architecture, great shopping, nightlife, sightseeing, and other attractions of this city. Being a large city, this city can be visited all over the year. This city is better accessible form all the modes of transportation. After flying in from Boston to New York, and then to Amsterdam my trip began. Once going through customs, I met up with the rest of the group at the Schipol airport and we headed to our hotel. The Ibis Hotel is less than 10 minutes away from the airport. The bedrooms aren't that spacious, but clean and nice. Inside there is a breakfast area, internet room, gift shop and bar. After many months of planning and saving etc. we finally boarded our Martinair flight from Vancouver , British Columbia (Canada) to Amsterdam in The Netherlands. Martinair is a subsiduary of the famed Dutch airline KLM and we were very pleased with the great service, meals and flight crew personalities. Since this is a Dutch based airline, we felt like we were in Europe as soon as we got on the plane!
