What a trip! I'm writing this on the flight back from Europe and am going to recap our two weeks for friends, family, and anyone on Yahoo that might be reading this for inspiration like I did with other trips. Having been traveling since yesterday afternoon (Pacific time), it nearly killed us to miss our extra tight connection from Paris-CGD to Zagreb by seconds. Very frustrating to see them close the door in our face. We knew it was tight but figured AirFrance wouldn't have booked it if it wasn't possible. And the woman in the Seattle airport said we just needed to catch a tram to our gate and we wouldn't have to go through security again in Charles deGaulle. Well, it wasn't a tram, it was a bus. We took two flights to get to Rome. The flights went quickly and were pleasant. We flew Alitalia from Boston to Italy. There were A LOT of bad reviews on this airline, so we decided not to check any luggage. The food was ok--beef stew and manicotti, the service was not quite what you get on American airlines. After the meal is served the staff will bring you one drink, but for the rest of the flight you have to walk to the back of the plane for water or juice.
