As Amy and I were just zipping up our last of five bags, we got a text message from Dana -- their initial flight on American had been cancelled the night before (thunderstorms or some such) and the airline had rerouted them through Dallas (that is, from Detroit to Dallas to La Guardia) with an arrival of 9:50 p.m., ten minutes before our Aerlingus flight left JFK. It was kind of funny and she is a pretty good sport!! I hope to be able to write in my blog everyday and tell everyone about our adventures. My grand-daughter Kayleigh will be here soon ...
