Bonjour France ! We hop off the flight, still a bit disoriented after a wonderful but hectic visit to India, get our Paris pass & hop on the metro to get to the Hotel, grappling with signs in French.....a group of musicians entertain us with carols on the train.... Later, in the afternoon we visit the Chateau de Versailles which is swathed in fog as you can see in the picture..... Started the day with a visit to the Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris which was as incredible as the guidebooks & hubby (who's been here before) promised. This is an absolute must-see in Paris! Departure day! It was exactly 1 week after our wedding. We brought 2 luggage (25 and 26 inches) and 1 carry-on. Not ideal for train travel in Europe but we're not used to travel light. At least we keep the weight down. about 12 kg each. The itinerary was set. London Disneyland Paris Lucerne Munich Verona Venice Rome. We've been Singapore Airlines Kris Flyer member for a long time so we took Singapore Airlines to London via Singapore. Departure from Jakarta was 17:00 but it was delayed for 1 hour but it was okay because we had 4 hours connection time. It did affect our plan to visit the termina...

Day 1 We head to SFO airport from our home in Dublin California by cab. Our flight is at 2:50pm so we leave around 11am. We manage to have a quick 40min trip across the bay in a neat cab with a pleasant, coherent and odor free cab driver. Total Fare including tip around $110. We get through ticketing and security without hassle with around 90 mins before boarding time. Everytime I fly I'm amazed how badly people behave when boarding a plane. We all have assigned seating so it's not like you're going to miss out if you're not the first person on the plane, right? Then why is there always someon...
