2009 Paris to Prague with River Cruise
Day one in Paris and we hit the ground running. After some confusion at the machines where you buy your metro/RER tickets we finally made it to our hotel in Place de la République. The hotel, while not in the center of everything, was nicely located next to a Metro stop served by 5 different lines. Our room wasn't yet ready--it was around 11:00 am so that was expected--and that was mostly fine because we really just wanted to get out and about. We had a pretty long day today but it was totally worth it, obviously, because now we're in Munich and only hours away from the first keg tap of Oktoberfest! We boarded our flight in Calgary last night around 11pm and our flight arrived an hour early in Munich, about 4pm local time. Our flight was OK but we were seated in front of the exit row so our seats didn't recline so I cramped up a bit and didn't get much sleep. Good thing I had Ocean's 13 to entertain me.
