Having been traveling since yesterday afternoon (Pacific time), it nearly killed us to miss our extra tight connection from Paris-CGD to Zagreb by seconds. Very frustrating to see them close the door in our face. We knew it was tight but figured AirFrance wouldn't have booked it if it wasn't possible. And the woman in the Seattle airport said we just needed to catch a tram to our gate and we wouldn't have to go through security again in Charles deGaulle. Well, it wasn't a tram, it was a bus. We arrived in Dublin early in the morning. We were staying at the Ashbourne Marriott a few miles away from the airport, and they had a free shuttle that would take us from the airport to the hotel. I called the hotel from the airport, and they arranged a shuttle to pick us up. Check-in time was 3 PM, I believe. We arrived around 10 AM and asked if we could check in early. The hotel staff was very accommodating and said they would try to get us a room for early check-in.
