After a quick trip to Sunriver for Charlie's wedding, John and I departed out of PDX to our first stop: Munich! We arrived in Chicago around dinnertime and grabbed a quick bite before our 8-hour flight. The plane was pretty full and for some reason Luftansa booked us two aisle seats across from one another. It's hard to get much rest on the aisle seats unless you have someone or something to lay against, so we didn't sleep at all. Hi All, I plan on making entries into the journal from the travel journals that we wrote on our trip. This hopefully will keep the entries fresh and spontaneous (although technically late entries hehehe). I am pairing photos with the journal entries, but unfortunately they have to be small or they are really bad quality. Vienna is a gorgeous city. Within the Ringstrasse, most buildings have carvings and/or statues. We stayed in an apartment on the Danube Canal. The city is extremely walkable, and the public transportation is incredibly convenient and well run. I highly recommend staying as long as you can.
