We arrived on Grand Cayman following a storm so the beach was really quiet. Our first stop was the bar for our first pina colada!! Then we headed for the water. Slowly but surely, people started to appear. We met our new friend, Ann from Georgia, in the water. She filled us in on everything we needed to know about our resort. I have to admit, choosing this week to vacation is awesome, if you can swing it. With everyone doing their travel Tues/Weds before Thanksgiving and returning the Sunday after Thanksgiving it gives a nice Fri/Sat window for sneaking out. Getting into LGA was a breeze, all flights were on time and virtually flawless (American Airlines: LGA to MIA to GCM). We took a cab to the resort, which cost ~US$22 with tip. Long overdue vacation! We decided to take a Carnival Cruise on the Legend. Our last Carnival trip was a disaster to say the least, however, after hearing a lot of rave reviews we decided to give it another shot. Glad we did! The ship was great, the Legend has a lot of dark hardwood decor. They layout of the ship was very practical, even though there were 2,500 passengers aboard we never felt crowed.
