Boarding the ship in New York can be very hectic, be prepared to loose a few hours. It’s not worth complaining and harassing NCL staff since they have no control on anything. The port Authorities is driving the show. Luggages take a while to be delivered at your cabin, so it’s the time to familiarise with the boat. We flew from Boston through Puerto Rico to St. Thomas. Not a bad flight on American, not great. When we got to St. Thomas we took a cab to our hotel, the Best Wester Carbi Beach. Little did we realize that it was about a 100 ft wallk. However, the cab was $15. They charge by the person and the bag down here. After we got settled we went out to the Fat Toad or or something like that. They had $1 beers and $2 vodka specials. Nice. Much better than Boston.
