Bermuda Hotels

The flight from Newark to BDA took about 2 hours. It didn’t take long to go through the customs. We claimed the luggage and took a taxi to Granaway Guest House. The driver might have taken the long route, but it was a scenic ride. It cost about $40. For four people it wasn’t too bad. Once we arrived at the Guest House, we were greeted by Carol, the owner of the House. She was very friendly. James and I had the blue room, which had the view of the Hamilton harbor. In the airport at Philly... Looking at Kris, I can see why they call it a "Red Eye" flight... I'm sure I look worse. I don't think people in Philadelphia like the Red Sox. I'll give the standard smile and nod to other people, but I get dirty looks instead. So it's either the Sox, or it's no longer the city of brotherly love. Transferring the kids wasn't too rough (for me). It was nice to be able to go to mass together as a family. Mom and Dad met us for mass too, and then took Maren, Josh, and Cece. Then a quick bite at Jay and Gina's, give the kids a kiss goodbye, and then off to the airport ...

Just back from 3 nights in Bermuda-- really nice trip-- cool but pleasant weather (60-65 highs), the Bermudians were terrific-- very friendly and professional! Elbow Beach hotel is very nice-- views are great, service and food very good, grounds pretty-- rooms clean and fresh; only issue-- rooms are very noisy, the sounds from folks just talking together next door was enough to disturb sleep. Pool area very nice and clean as is excercise room. We hiked and ran the railway trail each day-- very nice to run in shorts and T compared to back home! Hamilton is a nice walking town, shopping not ...
