Dominican Republic Hotels

Well, it was another extremely successful trip with the entire Lake family, and we all congregated on the happy, quiet expanse of the Punta Cana Resort and Club, which we'd happily recommend to other travellers looking for a great spot for the whole family. The occassion was Grandma Robin's 65th birthday, and we took advantage of the 4 day Thanksgiving weekend in the US to help stretch those vacation days. trip was great, the rooms at the Melia Caribe Tropical were nice, the people were friendly for the most part, food wass good, booze was good, rain everyday for about 20 mins the was vey humid, one night it rain a real lot, the power went out a few times, not really a big deal, i upgraded to the royal service, it gives you a much better room, you get your own butler, plasma tv, hottub, fridge with beer in it,water,soda,snacks..etc....you can call for a ride any time, and if you want to eat a a specfic place, royal service helps out alot, you don't have to call in advance.
