“I could live here” was Rebecca’s comment after 30 mins in the lounge at Heathrow. I booked the lounge as a start of holiday treat and it was a hit. The kids played the Playstation games, drank the milkshakes and ate the crisps and Louise and I got 90 minutes of peace and quiet as we waited for the flight spoilt only by Louise’s lack of progress with crossword. January 2006: This is my first trip outside of the country and I get to share it with my husband (then fiance). We were fortunate to go with our college for 2 weeks! I was so excited that I couldnt even go to sleep that night. I guess it wasnt a problem though because we left for Chicago at 3AM and we just slept on the bus. It was so unreal! Im going to AFRICA!!!!!!!!! We arrived at the airport around 6 or 7AM and 18-20 hours later we were in Cape Town, South Africa! The plane ride was the worst part of the trip because I was so anxious to get there. At least I got to see the sun rise and set ...
