Hotel San Mateo, San Salvador

I just stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks, and I can say that the place is very cozy, comfortable, very convenient location. Their administration and staff are very warm, always trying to please their guests. I even got a ride to Metrocentro from the owner of the place the very first day I arrived. They even have a little friendly dog that's always near to the entrance, that is like having a security guard at all times. To me, it was like home away from home. I highly recommend this place to anybody that want to stay in a small, quiet and secure place. You don't need to lock your rooms. I left my money, jewelry and documents all the time and never locked the door, the opposite of the big hotels. I will stay there in my next trip to El Salvador. Roberto H.
