Sun-N-Sand Motel, Kanab

me and my boyfriend've been there after a night in Vegas. it's quite different but.. so much better. ok in vegas all the hotel are like big hospital.. and you're just a room number or a reservation. in this tiny motel is totally opposite. you'll be part of the family. we stayed just for one night. the room was truly big for us (a double doble), all the towels were clean. the fridge was good as well as the air-con. the night we arrived we had a wonderful welcome. the owner is such an istitution. he was very kind and offered us everything. in the morning you can eat and drink something in the hall. we had a little chat with Wayne, he's nice and makes you at ease. a couple of days after our stay (we were already far from Kanab) I realized I forgot at Sun-n-sand Motel my postcards, my beloved postcards from all the places we've visited in our us road trip. I was very upset. No way to have them back... but surprisingly a week after our arrival in Italy I recieved all the postcards back. It was a really shock for me. and so kind from Wayne, I know it's all about his kindness. so thank you Wayne very much. the motel is not a five stars. but the feeling of family is so much better than in any other motel in us!!

My visit was very pleasant. The owners were nice if a bit eccentric. My room was very clean and comfortable. No bugs! A bargain at $40.

Our room was filthy. We had a tub of Lysol wipes in our car, and at first tried to wipe the counter, sink and a nightstand. The wipes were black! Then there were the big roaches that we saw as we were bringing in our luggage. Needless to say, neither the luggage or us stayed. We ended up staying at the motel right across the street.

People were friendly, it was very conveniently centered and the accomodations were modest but clean. And, the price was right!
