Summit Station Lodge & Outfitters, East Glacier Park

I booked my stay at Summit Station Lodge back in Dec 07 for a stay in June 08. I was a bit dubious at the time of booking because they asked me to ring them to give my card details to book, but had read fantastic reviews so i went for it. About 2 months later i realised that they hadn't taken any deposit. I emailed and rang them again, and again had to give my card details in due to them "losing" it. Then to my dismay I was contacted just 2 weeks before my trip about damage to the cabins due to snow. The manager was extremely helpful about re booking me into another property (we chose Glacier Trailhead Cabins) and he promised me a refund. When we got to the area we realised that there had been plenty of snow and thought the reason was genuine. I believe that there may have been a change in ownership of lodge during awaiting my refund. I have since had countless emails promising this refund by card and cheque with no actual money being sent from both sets of people. We are now 17 weeks on from my holiday and 19 weeks from the rebooking and contact seems to have completely ended from the staff at Summit station and i have not recieved my $208 refund. Glacier is a beautiful place - I would spend your money on one of the other properties - Glacier Trailhead Cabins was excellent positioning and quality of cabin - Village Inn at Apgar was clean and basic but the view was absolutely breath taking.
