Perfect first night for a married couple!
By Sara, 9/21/09
My husband and I were in Maine getting married and were looking for a quiet and peaceful place to spend our first night together. Bill and Bonnie graciously accomodated us with one day notice and suggested an upgrade to the Heron room with a bubble tub and beautiful double headed shower because it was such a special night...what a great room! The decor and atmosphere were delightful and cozy...not to mention the food! Bonnie brought out baked apple pancake for our hot entree in the morning, along with many other healthy food choices such as fruit, yogurt, and Kashi Go Lean cereal (our favorite!). Bill was also nice enough to circle some places of interest on the local area map for ice cream and trail walks. It was just a perfect ending to a wonderful day and we can't wait to go back on our anniversary!

Peaceful and perfect
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/26/08
We stayed in the Heron room and it was perfect: comfortable bed, great bathroom with deep tub, very clean, view of the forest. The breakfast was delicious. Great area to explore too.

What a beautiful home.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/07
We loved Morning Glory. The setting was idyllic; the weather was glorious; the service was wonderful. This is a fabulous area of Maine with easy access to 5 states. The house is beautiful, with a 1790s look and feel. Can hardly wait to go back. Joe and Ruth Dahlström

A Perfect Getaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/9/07
We liked everything about the Morning Glory Inn. Bonnie and Bill were wonderful hosts....friendly, attentive and made us feel as if we were at home. The rooms and gardens are lovely and the location is away from the hustle and bustle...extremely peaceful and yet it is close to town, good restaurants and the water.

Five years and still amazing!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/3/07
We have continued to frequent the B&B owned and operated by Bonnie and Bill Alstrom. This week we came "home" to Morning Glory Inn in York, ME. The ambience and charm were not to be believed. Our room was a special treat...tub with bubble jets and a large shower with river rock and twin shower heads. Our room had special skylights and our own outdoor seating. The decor and mattress were the best! The breakfast meal was so incredible. It lacked nothing. Bill makes exceptional coffee while Bonnie makes a superb french toast. There is not one bad thing in this review. It is totally six star and over the top!!!!!!! We can't wait to go back. Ellen and Steve Needham,MA

Perfect place to relax!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/15/07
The Morning Glory Inn is one of the most relaxing and beautiful inns we've stayed in. The innkeepers are attentive to every need and they also give guests their privacy which is important. The grounds have beautiful gardens and the peaceful setting makes a weekend away seem like a week's vacation. Bird feeders draw many different birds to watch. The ocean is only a short distance away as are shopping outlets and great restaurants. The rooms are all wonderfully decorated. We stayed in the Heron and totally enjoyed the large size of the room and spa-like bathroom. We loved being able to sit on our private deck in the afternoon to relax and read. We'll go back to try the other rooms as well. We've already booked a week in August.

Great Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/13/07
Had an amazing time. Accomodations were excellent. Highly recommend the Morning Glory Inn!! Also, recommend hiking Mt. A - it's about 10-15 minutes away...the views and trails are beautiful....from the summit you can see Mt. Washington to the west and the ocean to the east...amazing!!

Loved it!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/13/07
Great bed!!! Absolutely beautiful gardens. Decor was perfect!! No detail forgotten, nothing overdone...a perfect balance. Breakfast on the patio was heavenly...the soft gurlge of the water fountain combined with sweet bird songs was like natures symphony just for us. What a special place!!! Will definately be back!!
