had early breakfast and Linda was very nice, felt very cozy and comfortable there. had oatmeal and gordita with bacon and egg plus hot tea, everything was yummy.

Out of the daily lunch special! No pork chops! Ordered red snapper, waited over an hour! Red snappper was horrible! How long do you keep red snapper frozen?

food is great, service perfect ,staff always willing to help, everything the family and fisherman are going to need.The owner is very proud of His place and it shows!!

Room was adequate for the price. The resturaunt had little atmosphere but food was descent. I would highly recommend this hotel due to its location and value. Staying on south padre island is overpriced. We also liked that the white sands was on the marina, we fished off the dock at night and walked next door to dairy queen for ice cream.

The restuarant is very cheep. My husband found a piece of hard wire in his salad so he told the waiter. Our main dishes arrived and the only mention of the object in the salad was "You haven't found anything in your food have you" After seeing a maintance man working in the restuarant, we knew what had happened. But they didn't even offer to comp the salad or meal. We never saw a manager and nothing else was ever said about it. We felt we spent $50.00 on a meal we were both scared to eat.

This place is a nice place to stay. There are absolutely no rats!! Rooms are modern & very clean!! You must have a grudge against someone in this property because your review is inaccurate.

white sands is a great place to stay! we have been there twice already and are going back next month! at first the outside might look a little creepy, but the staff was nice and it was clean and just perfect inside! for the price you pay...you can't beat it! to stay on the island might be nice BUT too expensive... it's literally like one minute away from the bridge...AND there is a bar called overtime with the best margaritas! yummy! and you don't even have to drive, you can just walk to it from your room! :)

This is not the TajMahal...but it has everything we were looking for in a vacation get away ...there is a boat slip ..good restuarant right on the premis...that will cook your catch of day..but ..also. by the way opens early for the fishing crowd who like to be on the water by day break...We've stayed there 3 times in the past and will be planning our april trip there again...Deb and George

My children & I stayed at the White Sands last summer. The Hotels that are on the island were just WAY to expensive. We are planning another trip there this summer. The ladies workig the counter were really helpful. The room was clean, the pool was great. It was very quiet & we had a GREAT time. We can't wait for July to visit again.
