great but should be better for this price level
hotel in general was fine, but there is a serious lack of food choices and the food available is simply not upto standards/price(of the hotel), which wouldnt matter too much if you had loads of choices in the vicinity, but there wasnt. on another note - i was extremely disapointed with the fact that we booked 14 days (or so) in advance and we specifically asked for late check-out, we were never told anything hence we thought it was ok. when we then asked for it (1 day after arrival) we were told that it was absolutely out of the question due to the hotel being so booked. i then started asking for the manager which was always in meeting (!! or shy of confrontation ?) all of a sudden it was no problem IF I PAID THAI BHAT 2300,- that irritated me alot for 2 reasons 1. to me it was like if we paid no problem (its a 500+ sgd hotel in low season already...) 2. our flight was not until 10 pm in the evening and at this hotel there is literally no pool area/restaurant etc where you can spend 8 hrs ! had i known that late checkout was not possible then we would have booked another flight + to our defense we did arrive (on the first night) at 11pm but officially had the room from noon hence they could have given us back 4-5-6 hrs of the "unused" from the first day - which they probably made someone else pay for already as we had told them our flight details etc from the begining so they knew our exact schedule. i have stayed/do stay for both business and pleasure in much better hotels on a very regular basis and the fact that the manager wasnt even there to be seen for 48hrs as we tried to get to speak to him and that nobody from the hotel staff has even mentioned the fact that this was unfortunate etc makes me tell people, if asked, where not to stay in future. it is a nice hotel and if service etc was in order i would gladly pay more, the little holiday i have i prefer not to be sitting in a sgd 500+ hotels lobby trying to get a glimpse of the manager...
