Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Beckley, Beckley

Was in town for business and left the hotel at 9AM. Came back to the hotel after work and the room was not touched. Went to the front desk and the best explanation they could give me was "if the sign is not out of the door at 8AM, your room doesn't get cleaned." The only reparation they offered me was a bottle of water and a towel. Also, the restaurant is a pay-per-eat restaurant and is not included in your price. And at $160 a night, the service does not live up to the Holiday Inn name.

This hotel is nice but nothing to justify the high prices. The room views are nothing exciting and there is nothng going on in the hotel. My wife is from this area and I've observed what I consider to be price gouging in this state. We travel in and out of the country quite a bit and it so hard to believe that a Holiday Inn Express in Beckley, West Virginia could be so expensive. Unless they adjust their rates I don't think we will patronize in their price gouging in the future.

Overall the hotel is nice but does not justify the price you are going to pay for each room. The Hampton down the street is a much better deal and just as nice.

Loved it rooms very clean beautiful hotel inside out I highly recommend it. The pool was nice but a little cold but it was a cold day. Over all very great hotel.

Over priced. Priority Club not recognized. Morning staff at front desk was rude. KEMS restaurant food was less than mediocre.Frozen and thawed in microware; more like a TV dinner.

On the week end of December 19,2009, Beckley was hit with a big snow storm the staff was overrun w ith people needing shelter from the storm. The staff was outstanding. Their attitude was great, they had to work short of staff but everyone was so helpful in every way they could. We always stay here on our way to visit my daughter in NC. I'm so glad we were able to make it here, everyone was great.

I have stayed at many, many hotels in my life, many of them 5 star. But I have never received such service as i did at Beckley's Holiday Inn. Their is a gentalman there that just blew my mind. Allen was his name and let me tell you if you are lucky enough to stay while he is on duty you wont want for anything. My wish is that he could be sent to other Holiday Inn's to show them how customer service is supposed to be. I also stayed recently at the Hyatt Regency in Ohio thinking I would get the same kind of service I received in Beckley since it is a 4 star hotel..That was a laugh "NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!" So in closing if you want an ultimate stay and be pampered, stay at Holiday Inn in Beckley, WV. They charge a little more than the others around but it is more than made up for in how I was treated there. Kudos to Allen and all he does. I know I will be back, an extreemly pleased platnum member I am. 5 STAR HOTEL!!!!! BEST SERVICE ANYWHERE!!!! Thanks again to Allen and all the staff. You people are the definition of pure quality.

I Loved how the staff was so friendly, and every question that I asked which was a lot was answered with out any attitudes or as if I was getting on their nerves. The room was very clean and comfortable, and my kids slept Peacefully without room service trying to knock down the door. I will surely make sure that if I am in West Va again this will always be my choice. Oh yeah, the internet is *FREE*

This hotel was wonderful! We were overwhelmed by how friendly ALL the staff were to us. The breakfast food was great and the kids loved the tvs at each booth so they could watch cartoons while we ate breakfast. It was also very affordable with the kids eating for free. Room service was exceptional as well. The pool and hot tub were great. Hotel was new and super clean! We will definitely stay here again!

The staff here is great... I whave been going to the Holiday Inn Oak Hill...But it has become a bit of a rat trap.. I will be staying here from now on..It's brand new and you can tell. A+++++
