My Granddaughter and I loved this place! We swam with the dolphins, had lunch served to us on the beach. We also had a private tour of the medical hospitals for the dolphins and other marine life. The staff was amazing. We have been back twice and plan on taking her little one soon. GOD must have loved that region, it is so beautiful!
The beaches are beautiful, poor services and the people are rude!
Very pricey! Food very mediocre.. nothing special besides over price.
Tip is included in everything! The only thing that is free is the attitude!
The rooms were run down and dated. Toilet smelled and was broken. Lock on door was hanging off upon arrival. Service was horrible and staff rude. Way over priced. Main pool dirty. Many restaurants closed and the ones opened were very expensive. Bathrooms in lobby were not clean and lacking toilet paper etc.......
Went with my girlfriends and had a ball love everything, so much to do and see, dancing, casino, shopping the list goes on and on. We stayed in the west tower at the royal, everything was great including the staff who where very nice and helpful.. The spa is totally incredible, every thing was so great going back in August for my husbands birthday.
bahamas is a wonderful place to be from the hot weather to the crystal clear water to the sights. atlantis is beautiful and fun.the food is great, our personal favorite place to go to eat at atlants was the market place.besides all the fancy dining, outside is where the fun begins.there is water slides and a quick distance to the beach and so many heated pools.we are totally going back, but the only bad thing about it is the prices are pretty high BUT its worth it.
We stayed in the East Wing of the Royal Towers and cannot say enough good things about our vacation. Yes, the Atlantis is pricey but it is worth it. Everywhere you look there is attention to detail. The staff is absolutely wonderful -- very friendly and approachable. We normally don't return to the same vacation spot but we will very likely return to the Bahamas and will absolutely stay at the Atlantis. The breakfast buffet at The Marketplace is wonderful. We had great meals while we were there with Cafe Martinique being our favorite, Seafire Grill, our second favorite, Bimini Road, our third favorite, and The Bahamian Club, our fourth favorite. For romance, definitely choose Cafe Martinique.
We went to Atlantis last week of July in '09 for a huge family vacation and just loved it. Was great for the kids and everything was just great. Food is expensive but we had been there before and knew that. So, we packed a suitcase full of food -snack and breakfast food - and that worked really well.
My husband and I then went again in September. There was really very few there. We had a great time, was very relaxing and weather and water couldn't be beat. We'll definitely go back again. Only suggestion is that you plan for the expense of the food.
The Bahamas is a beautiful place to travel to, the atmosphere is to die for. However there are lots and lots of hotels to choose from... there are resorts, bed and breakfast and much more. Before booking / making a reservation you should decide which lodging ..better suites you, if you don't want to walk alot, then you should not go to a large resort like Atlantis, if you decide that you want luxury... then you should try an all exclusive like Breezers, if you want to experience authentic Bahamian service/ try staying the Heart of the island....after all The Bahamas is not just Paradise Island and Atlantis! Please do not slander my paradise! The Bahamas is a vacation destination, and you will love it here!
