Forbes Victoria Inn, Bedgerebong

Best Western Forbes Victoria Inn has a rich colorful history, with charming heritage buildings, many set around Victoria Square. The legendary Bushranger Ben Hall is buried in the Forbes General Cemetery. Lake Forbes which is located on the edge of the Newel Highway is a great picnic spot which is used by locals and travelers. There is a walking track around the shores of the lake which is also very popular. Forbes is a vibrant pastoral, dairying, agricultural and orchard industries. Sandhills Winery with its antique copper distillery, was established in 1920 by Lucien Bouchier, a French wine maker, is located two kilometers along the Orange Road. The Historical Museum is also worth a visit, located in Cross Street. The building housing the museum was originally a music hall. The Forbes heritage trail is a major attraction.
