Description
Twenty kilometers (12 miles) west of Banff, on the Trans Canada Highway, park your car at the Red Earth Creek parking lot. Then hike, cross-country ski or snow-shoe through 15 kilometers (nine miles) of spectacular vistas to reach Brewster's Shadow Lake Lodge. This back country retreat, situated amidst glaciated mountain peaks and high alpine meadows, provides hikers and cross-country skiers with seasonal accommodation. Cozy and secluded log cabins feature comfortable beds with feather duvets, propane heaters, solar powered lighting and a wash basin area. Homecooked meals, afternoon tea, and licensed dining are offered.
