Aquarius Vacation Club, BOQUERóN

This place is the last place to consider. I rather sleep at the beach instead. Nasty hotel and nasty service, nasty manager/owner. I have requested to see the room after they took my CC, room is nasty and roach eggs on beds. They denied us refund even when we did not stay 10 minutes in the room. We got refunded through Amex. STAY AWAY!

The hotel&room were nice. Had a 2 bed studio with kitchenette. Spacious bathroom. The restaurant food was delicious. Claudia (waitress) was exceptional. She's very friendly,pleasant, and goes out of her way to please. Camilo (chef) is great. Food was inexpensive. Kids pool was great adult pool was ok. Housekeeping personel were lazy. If you're not out of the room by 9:00AM, your room would not be cleaned. There were bed bugs. My legs look like a connect the dots puzzle. Told front desk about issue and they supposely sent an exterimator and changed the sheets. I still got bit. Beach isn't private and its dirty. Broken glass and trash all over. Boqueron strip on other side of marina is closed during the week. Also be careful when walking from pool area to the beach/or strip over the bridge. Be wary. There is no security nor cameras in that area. Hotel doesn't even have sufficient camera's on the grounds & none in the halls. We asked the housekeeping supervisor Irrizarry for a simple request about using the washer and dryer for acouple of my 4yo sons items and she was very arrogant and lied with a resone why it couldn't be done. She was very rude. Very Unprofessional.

If you are looking for some place in Boqueron near to the beach and the Poblado this is the right place for you. The hotel its located near the Boqueron beach and the poblado were during the day you can enjoy the watersports and the food and at night you can enjoy the music with in other things. The rooms have good acomodations and all the equipment that you will need ether you want to cook or not. Everyday the housekeeping personel come to change the towels and to do the cleaning. Each room have TV and cable tv but not DVD player. The area of the pool is a special place if you have childrens because the kids pool have a park with waterslides and everything. The adult pool is at the side of the kids pool and both have pool chairs around them so you can watch the kids while you are at the other pool, the cafeteria or taking the suntan at the chair. In other words this is an excelent place to stay with your partner or with the family because the rooms accomodate from 4 to 10 people at once.

The resort has a swamp or lagoon right beside it and the mosquito population was unbelievable! The hotel was dirty and infested with so many mosquitos we had to have our room changed 3 times. This was part of a vacation exchange program I belong to called Interval International. I own a timeshare in Las Vegas and I have never had a problem with any other location. My family is from Puerto Rico and I have stayed at many locations all over the island and everyone I talked to asked me why I would have chosen to stay in Boqueron. Now I know why. I'm not sure about the other hotels in the area but the Aquarius Vacation Club at Boqueron Beach was the worst place ever. The housekeeping staff needs to be trained to clean the rooms better as there were cobwebs in every corner of the rooms. The furnishings were also in bad condition, we didn't even want to sit on the stained covered couch and chairs. We couldn't even be in the pool at night because of the mosquito problem. Management needs to really consider draining the lagoon/swamp there. That seems to be the problem.

It a time share resort not Hotel. The food in the pool cafe is expensive and is not good. You have to cook your own food, or went by car out of the town. BRING your OFF mosquito repelent... is very need in the sunside and nite, the mosquitos can swim... if you go with a big group of family and friends will be fun (we made our shopping list in a Sam's Club hambuergers hotdogs and beer) Bring game for the little ones like the wii, dominoes and cards, they love it. If have a car go to the PLAYA SUCIA "Dirty beach" is near the lighthouse is the most beuty beach the sand is like powder and cristal water. The name of dirty is because the powder sand mix with the water, creating a white water at the coast. For those that miss the american food, at 3 minute by card they had a burger king ad chicken fast food (church's the competition of kentucky KFC in pR). If not have a card by foot at the Poblado the better food is the sea food burritos like $7 vs the $50 paella (seafood and rice).

Nasty is the only word used to describe resort. Soiled furniture, dirty floors, bathroom need major updates, elevator trapped our friends, pool small and dirty - water cloudy could not see bottom until end of the week. Better food at a ballpark than at the little pool side cafe. Both managers stated they would fix the problems but it never happened. Would never recommend this resort to anyone!
