Washington Hotel, Restaurant and Culinary School, Washington Island

Built in the early 20th century by schooner captain Ben Johnson to provide lodging for other ships' captains, The Washington Hotel features accommodations in the main house and a two bedroom, two bath log cabin with a full kitchen. A European-style breakfast is served each morning and The Washington Hotel's kitchen creates unique, multi-course meals made with locally grown organic ingredients. Cooking classes and other special events are held regularly.
