Ole Mink Farm Recreation, Thurmont

We unfortunately had an aweful experience. We booked cabins 3 months in advance. The prices that we were given were not the same when we checked in. We were not treated professionally at all, as the owners kept tacking on charges and deposits. We paid them in hopes that the place would exceed our expections. After checking in, however, we quickly noticed that the atmosphere did not seem family friendly at all. The park has several residences which took away from the scenic views the area has to offer. There was no privacy as the residence campers are parked so close to the area we leased. There was no place for the kids to run around and play. After about 2 hours, our group decided to decided to get a refund and go some place else. I wold not recommend this place to anyone. If looking to camp in the area, I recommend Crows Nest. If tents aren't your thing and you need a room to stay for the evening, check out the Ramblers Inn in Thurmont.
