Great little place in North Chicago

We generally use Hotwire wherever we go, but the weekend we wanted to spend in Chicago was a prime one - so all downtown hotel rates near the loop or Miracle Mile were in the $250 to $350 range.
Our alternative was to locate a more affordable B&B a little north of the downtown area and take the L into town.
This place was perfect for our needs. Affordable, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The amnenities were great - the free computer and printer was very handy for helping us pick out downtown restaurants and routes. I also noticed there was a strong wireless connection throughout the facility. The large plasma TV came in handy for College Football viewing on Saturday.
The refrigerator was even stocked with anything you could want - lowfat milk, fresh fruit, pastries, colas, water, juice... even beer! It was really wonderful. Additionally, there were eggs should you want to cook yourself a fuller breakfast.
The beds were very comfortable and the rooms themselves were stylish - each had its own plasma TV. The bathrooms were clean and had good water pressure.
The owner was very helpful - but also knew the perfect times to be around so as not to make you feel he was watching over you. He did a great job. All in all it was a wonderful place to stay and I'd recommend it to anyone traveling to Chicago.
