Hampton Inn & Suites Omaha Southwest, La Vista

Room was great, very clean, shuttle service was awesome. When we checked in, we paid cash. The front desk guy wouldn't give us a receipt. He said we'd get our receipt under our door at 3am. That made me nervous but I figured 'ok'. We woke up in the morning and there was no receipt. I went to the front desk and had to make sure that my credit card hadn't been charged in addition to the cash we paid. So far no charges on my card, but the point is that I wasn't given a receipt at the time I paid. We left the front desk after getting that straightened out and went to eat the complimentary breakfast. At 8:15am, there was hardly any food left. We waited more than 35 minutes for the breakfast host to bring out more eggs and biscuits & gravy. The silverware was empty, the yogurt was gone, there was no honey, most of the boxes of cereal were gone. When they finally brought out the hot food, it was barely luke warm, and there was no serving spoon in either container. We spent almost an hour messing around (practically begging the host) with getting our breakfast, which made us get to the zoo an hour later than we had planned. I would consider staying there again because the room and beds were very comfortable, but I would consider trying another hotel too. I didn't leave there with a "that was worth $150" feeling.

The pool and hot tub were big ticket items for our 3-year-old, very clean, very nice. Clean room, flat screen TV, comfy beds, wi-fi, great breakfast and other accomodations were great for my wife and I. The front desk staff were warm, pleasant, and gracious. The Saturday night desk jockey (didn't get her name, but she was great) even opened up the breakfast kitchenette at 9:00 pm to get our daughter a bedtime glass of milk, gratis). I would defiinitely stay here again. One of the morning staffer mentioned that the hotel was less than half-full, maybe adding to the attentiveness of the staff and tranquility of the hotel.

We have stayed here twice already this year as it is close to our son's home and is also close to Cabela's. We were very impressed and will stay again. It is close to the Interstate and the rooms are excellent.

After a little over a week of traveling, and spending some nights at pretty awful hotels...this was like stepping into paradise! The room was very elegant and beautiful and you wouldn't believe the bathroom! If there's anyway I could've gotten away with sneaking that bed into my luggage and out the door, I would've. Everything was pristinely clean. The bed linens were soft, the pillows and the comforter were fluffy and downy-soft. I'd go back in a heart beat. It cost a little more than other hotels, but it's definitely worth the little bit extra you pay...especially since they include a pretty decent breakfast.
