Grand hotel luxury at an amazing price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/10
If this is a 3-star hotel, I cannot imagine a 5-star. The location was surrounded by construction barriers for some kind of transportation project outside in December 2009 while I was there, but that aside it will be very nice when the construction is done and cleaned up. My room was spectacular, spacious, with a huge bathroom all in new custom tile, marble, brass and chrome. Every night I drained away the fatigue in the hot bathtub, then went up to the enormous, impressive and tasty multi-cuisine buffet laid out in the revolving top floor. The included breakfast on the 4th floor was the best I've ever seen, with breads, pastries, juices, dairy product, local and European dishes, and three chefs ready to prepare eggs benedict, omelets or whatever you wished. Staff were kind, observant and very efficient. All this for half to 1/3 the price of a standard business hotel (continental breakfast, if you were lucky) in any moderate size American city.
The only negative is that I suffered a terrible cold the whole visit.
