i don't know how else to put it. We were not in St Charles to be at this bar, but the place we were going to go was packed and serving slow. So we went to The Dog and Duck Inn as we heard music from outside as we passed it. It too was pretty full, but they were moving pretty well, and had a list of what must have been over 50 beers to choose from on the wall behind the bar. There was a live band called Auditory Hallucination (I got a sticker) playing loud rock, but not at too loud of a volume. People there were all seemingly friendly. It just felt very comfortable from the time we walked in until we left. Even the band was friendly as we spoke to them during their break. I assume they are regulars there possibly cause the place was pretty full. Only negative...the bathrooms are a long stairway away. Glad I didn't try to drink all 50 of those beers!
