I was very disappointed in this 'resort'. The staff were friendly and helpful and the place was clean with nice grounds. So why was I so disappointed? The rooms were poorly lit and as dark as a cave. The beds were not much better than a camp bed. To pay such high prices in India for such poor accommodation and so-so food was a bitter pill indeed. Worst of all, it is located on a beach from which it is forbidden to swim! The beach at the Sterling Resort is dangerous. It's a 10 or 20 min. walk to the other side of the village to get to a reasonably clean and safe beach from which one can swim. We had paid in advance and we could not get our money back. At £50 a night, I would rate this resort as very poor value indeed.
