Staff were very polite, discreet and very friendly. (coming from the hospitality industry i was struck by this) the bathroom was filthy though! it actually had algae in the corners. Ugh. the sheets were not fresh and bed had no proper duvet just a blanket inside the duvet cover. as my room had been booked by friends who though savoy was great i couldnt complain much. First thing i did when i got back home though was to disinfect thoroughly!
Great place to stay. Prices are reasonable when compared to Sheraton or Protea hotels. Service was great without being overbearing. The complimentary breakfast is a blessing for people with family. The rooms were large and clean. I will recommed Savoy Suites to friends that might visit Lagos. It is a walking distance from some restaurants. It is also close to the airport. We will come back.
Everything about Savoy Suites is superior to the nearby Sheraton including the price - 2/3 less! They check you in quickly and curteously with no unnecessary delays or over the top civility - great when you're exhausted and just want to get to your room.
Rooms are well equiped, clean, have high quality decor, TV's which work, internet and excellent firm beds!
As a woman travelling alone I feel very safe and comfortable here and the staff are all cheerful, friendly and very helpful.
I have stayed in many large chain hotels around West Africa and Savoy Suites easily compares well with all of them and beats many of them.
MY TRIP WHICH WAS THE FIRST I HAD EVER SPENT IN A HOTEL IN LAGOS AFTER SUCH A LONG TIME WILL BE MOSTLY REMEMBERED BY THE COURTESY AND POLITNESS OF EACH AN EVERY ONE OF THE STAFF AND MOST ESPECIALLY THE WAITERS, BELL-BOYS AND THE LADIES WHO MANNED THE RECEPTION DURING MY TWO-WEEKS STAY THERE!
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
MY ONLY GROUCH WAS THE FOOD THAT WAS MUCH TOO PEPPERY AND THE ABSENCE OF PLAIN AND SIMPLE VEGETARIAN DISHES!
BUT ALL IN ALL A VERY NICE PLACE TO RELAX AND RECUPERATE!!! WILL BE GLAD TO BE BACK NEXT YEAR BY GOD,S GRACE!
I THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING MY STAY WITH YOU AN ENJOYABLE ONE INDEED!!!
I stayed at the Savoy Suites for 4 nights in February 2007.It was definitely a pleasant experience.
I strongly recommend Savoy Suites to anyone looking for a neat environment, coupled with warm and courteous service.
I will definitely be going back.
Savoy Suites is a little sanctuary in the hustle and bustle of Lagos. Arriving at the Boutique Hotel you are greeted with a warm smile and a cool reception area. The service is outstanding & you are treated like royalty. The staff soon become your friends and you can't wait to return to see them again.
I didn't want to pay the Sheraton's prices so my company found this place. It's new, clean, and quite stylish. The staff is helpful and it's a nice break from the hustle of Lagos. PLUS, they have internet connections and wireless in each room.
