El Club is an absolute must!
By ,
New rooms, new patiogarden with jacuzzi, friendly staff (speaking several languages) and new owners, we advise this hotel to everybody! The former disco is moved to Plaza la Inmaculada in Granada (also very nice!!), so it is cozy and quiet now in the hotel. We can also recommend the kitchen, they serve delicious plates.

Will be there this year
By ,
I loved the place. The staff son muy simpatico. The little breakfast that came with the room was just enough to get me going. I never eat too much while I am in Nicaragua, too warm. If you go, there is a great place down the road going to the park that serves a great chicken meal with the best fruit juice ever. The price at El club for two was dirt cheap, and the beds were very comfortable.

Bad Changes - TERRIBLE place now.
By ,
Reservations and reception never mentioned the INSANELY loud club 20 feet from the rooms. The walls are trembling as I write this at 3am. No way to sleep and no excuse for not warning us before checking in or accepting our reservation. Plus, the rooms are a bit run down, security is minimal, the TVs feature mostly static, and the rooms are TINY - bathroom separated by swinging doors, not a real door. I stayed here in 2004 and 2007 when it was run by a trendy Dutch couple. Looks like the wife took off and the husband is running the place into the ground. The Jello wrestling contest he sponsored tonight is, apparently, what an Expat mid-life crisis look like. (Note: even the contest was poorly run - he managed to screw up women wrestling each other, come on!) Come here for the nightlife, do not stay here.

The Hotel in Granada Nicaragua
By ,
This is our fourth time in Nicaragua, but our first time we stayed at El Club. The former trips to Nicaragua we have stayed at different places and visited El Club for night life. This time at El Club was absolutely are favorite time over all. The price of the rooms, excellent food and personal attention of the staff makes this place our best recommodation for travelers.

El Club Hotel in Granada Nicaragua is fantastic.
By ,
On my second visit to Granada I stayed at El Club on the recommendation of a friend and only wish I found this great hotel the first time around. The air-conditioned rooms are small, cozy, and very clean and well kept. Equipped with full bathroom/shower and color cable TV. The hotel hosts a great bar/retaurant as well, and the food is very low priced and excellent. They charge only $29 for a standard single room and only $49 if you want Breakfast & Lunch included.(well worth it) El Club is located just a short walk from the Central park in Granada, and many retaurants, stores, shopping and a lot of activities. The staff are all Bi-lingual and from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone there is extermely friendly and very attentive to your needs. Room service is offered off of their regular restaurnat menu, and is quick and delicious! Picking the right hotel in Granada from a tiring list of search results can be difficult and confusing. Please let me help you end your search and offer the higest recommendations to make El Club your 1st choice for hotels in Granada. I have seen a few(very few) negative reviews of this hotel and I have to say that they should not influence your decision, as no place is perfect for everybody, but el Club is by far the top choice in Granada. Marcos, the owner is always on site and available to make certain your stay there is perfect. he is a very friendly and approachable guy and you should ask for him when you arrive just to say hello. Another great feature of El Club is the free and fast WiFi Internet connection you'll find throughout the property incuding in the rooms! Treat yourself to a stay at this top choice Granada Hotel. You'll be glad you did!

Good Times
By ,
I stayed in this hotel the first part of January 2008. It is a terrific deal especially for the young or single traveler. Service is great and the food is terrific. It has professional service. My wife and I stayed in a small hotel room for about $55 a night. You do get free wireless internet service at the restaurant tables, hot water and AC, cable TV with American, Dutch and European programs. A discotheque stays open until early in the morning however there is a door that separates rooms and the outer courtyard and it dampens the noise. Drink prices are terrific and patronage is a blend of foreign and local folks. If it is luxury that you are looking for it may not be the place, but it does bring comfort at extraordinary savings. If you are young, single or like to have a good time this is the hotel.

won't go back
By ,
When it first opened, it was a quaint, quiet, good service, well priced Hotel. Now too noisy...going for the local crowd to provide a disco until 6 am. Got deathly sick after eating a salad here.

The best option in Granada, Nicaragua
By ,
The experience you will have at El Club cannot be compared to your stay in any other hotel in Granada. Modern architectural design blending with Nicaraguan colonial architecture, clean rooms, great friendly customer service, excellent social atmosphere (especially when parties take place at the bar during the weekends) and of course, absolutely delicious cuisine. Definitely recommended.
