We live in Chicago and I wanted to take my three children(9),(8),(2) away for a couple of days. I found the Rawhide Ranch on line. I was nervous traveling alone what I might find. When we drove down the private dirt rode.OMG is what came out of my mouth. It was beautiful! We felt more like we were out west then in Indiana. I felt very safe and the room ie. sheets were very clean( for a dude ranch)! Dusty was a great guide! My 8 years son loved getting the horses with him every morning. I will go back again!

awesome trail rides

Greeted wth a smile and a bit of friendly harrasment. Frenchi was a great guide with the quiet and friendly horses. A couple of the horses were mildly independent giving definately a ride where you where manging the horses. The ride was mildly challenging with hills, creeks, meadows and deep tree trails. Backing up to the Brown County national forrest made the ride seem miles away from the world. I highly recommend this ranch.

Indiana's best secret now exposed

As a travel agent I was reluctant to try this place sight unseen, but my husband's 50th birthday was right up on me and I had to put something together in less than 2 weeks. I hit the jackpot, this place was perfect, I rented a half dozen rooms for family and hosted a western party in their hugh barn. Derrick, the caretaker is the best. He made sure everything was perfect for us, even blasted my husbands "Big 50" on their welcome sign! We rode horses, sat around the campfire they provided, checked out their fishing ponds and fell in love with the ranch dog, Angus. I highly recommend giving this place a try for some real relaxing fun!
